Alex
Anninos loves the city of Boston, Massachusetts. Boston is where he works as a
real estate professional. He is employed by RE/MAX. One of Alex Anninos'
passions is obviously real estate. His favorite types of real estate are homes
and buildings in Boston's historic neighborhoods. He is a history buff who
spent a lot of time exploring the streets and neighborhoods of Boston when he
was an undergraduate student at Northeastern University. Alex Anninos'
appreciation of architecture may be one of the reasons he started a career in
real estate.
The
architecture is unique and evocative of Boston.
Alex Anninos has a lot of respect for the preservation efforts that have
helped to maintain the historic neighborhoods throughout the years. Alex
Anninos knows that there are pressures to develop neighborhoods for other
purposes and a lot of cities have lost their character and historic
neighborhoods as a result. Alex Anninos praises Boston for retaining so many
charming and historic properties.
One
of the ways Boston helps to preserve some of the historic charm of the city is
by repurposing existing historic buildings. This is something that really
appeals to Alex Anninos because of his background in real estate. Developers
can preserve the integrity of a building by restoring the façade. The interior
of the building is then reconfigured to create spaces that are more inviting
for residents or businesses. After the remodel the building also conforms to
city codes. The integrity and history of the building remain and the building
is once again vital in the city. Another style of restoration that is really
appealing to Alex Anninos is the conversion of old factory or warehouse space
into loft style housing. Alex Anninos is a supporter of historic preservation
and hopes that other cities will follow Boston's example and start preserving
their historic neighborhoods too.
